Custom Growing Services
Cill Ide is now offering custom growing services for native trees and shrubs. This new service is being offered in response to our customers request for large quantities of difficult to find plants.
How it works
Cill Ide offers this program as a service. All labor and materials are inclusive to the fee.
The project designer presents a list of potential plant species to be propagated. These may include species currently grown by Cill Ide as well as others that could be propagated.
A cost to provide all labor, materials, water, fertilizer, etc. is generated by Cill Ide. This cost is generally 25%-35% less than wholesale.
An agreement is reached and Cill Ide is ready to set to work.
After one growing season, the plants are ready to be picked up or delivered to the job site.

The project designer is assured that the plants needed for the project will be available when the planting contractor is ready to start work.
A major cost savings over conventional wholesale purchasing
Superior plant quality. Plants are at least 1-gallon containerized stock with well developed root systems. These plants are much more drought resistant than commonly used bare root stock. As a result, plant densities and quantities can be reduced saving even more expense. After the first growing season, substantially less replanting is needed to maintain the designed plant densities. Containerized plants can be planted almost any time of year. Bare root plants can only be done in the winter and while they are dormant.
